Embrace the Adventure

My word for 2020 is embrace, and it is oh-so-fitting! If the end of last year is any indication of the next several months, well…buckle up, I will have some fun stories places to share, and pictures of delicious food for you!

I have always had an affinity to traveling and checking out new places whether it was exploring a new city, road tripping to a National Park, or checking out a different coffee shop in the city I live. Embracing the ‘adventure’ is what I want to do this year.

One reason I know this will be an interesting and unique year is because there is already at least one BIG trip planned and I am not even through the month of January yet… AHHHHH :D!

Several years ago now, I launched my small business and its website. I bought multiple domain’s right around that time, circa 2016, with the idea of journaling and documenting my love for travel and adventure. If there is one thing I have learned since launching Enlighten Life, it is holllyyyy cowww … providing a beautiful, yet simple, easy to navigate, fun, and gorgeous blog is a feat! Let’s just say, it is no walk in the park. I completely understand why people hire company’s to build out their social media / websites / platforms. Ooooooftah!! Official disclaimer: this is an amateur blog with tech skills that are very much a work in progress 😉 #ConstantlyLearning

My vision is to highlight the adventures and document some thoughts along the way. The adventure may not always be grand, it may just be my new favorite mountain biking trail…or it may be South Korea… you’ll have to wait and see. I know my National Park bucket-list will definitely be on here, and maybe even some state parks too. Every time I get to explore a new National Park my heart beats a little bit faster (they are BEYOND GORGEOUS…breathtaking really)! I am working at compiling all the Spain posts from this past fall too!

So, here we are, Spring 2020, and I am finally getting around to doing the dangggg thangg! I hope you enjoy my amateur blog skills, most likely inconsistent posts, and love for adventure.

Hugs,

Off Season Siesta

Barcelona, Spain

The Off Season Siesta began and ended in Barcelona. We walked everyyyyyywhere, took advantage of their metro system, and even took the bullet train to Madrid for a few days! While in Barcelona, we found some of the best tapas places, drank delicious sangria and Spanish red wine, explored some of the local ‘must see spots’, and went with the flow.

Spain was So GAUDI!

This adventure was lovingly dubbed our Off Season Siesta!!
Have you ever wondered what you should do for Thanksgiving? We ended up getting on a flight headed across the pond, and it ’twas spectacular.
